This is the first official post on I am Black and Beautiful. I’m excited about the birth of this movement and hope that it uplifts and effects change in African-American communities and globally.
We can never accept the degradation of black women. It is time for people to rise and say no more.
We cannot participate in our own destruction nor can we allow people to put labels on us that ultimately hurt and sometimes stifle our development.
I look forward to sharing and spreading love. I look forward to uplifting and being uplifted by beautiful women everywhere. All women are beautiful and we all deserve respect.
Black women deserve to feel good about who we are on the inside and equally about the skin and culture that wraps around our spirits.
