The Root gives us a lit snippet of George Lucas’ interview on The Daily Show, where he talks about how he had to fund his movie Red Tails that features an all black cast. Apparently Hollywood did not know how to market the film because of the black people in it. Wow!
According to the Nielsen report State of the African-American Consumer, African-Americans spend 1.32 billion in the movie theatres.
People please support this film and send a message to Hollywood. Maybe then they will catch a clue.(smh)
